HULTGREN
FARMS HISTORY
Duane Hultgren
is the President of the Hultgren Farms organization.
He has been involved in the farm since he was a child and prides himself
in "never moving an inch"--he has lived on the exact same
piece of ground his whole life. He has led the farm from 800 acres in
the early 80's to well over 4,000 acres in 2013. Duane has served on
the St. John's Township Board and is the chairperson of the Kandiyohi
County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission. His
hobbies include "production brainstorming", fantasy football,
hunting, fishing, touring the Colfax wilderness, and golf. His wife,
Nancy, also assists in the management of the farm--she
is the bookkeeper and office administrator.
Nate Hultgren
is Chief Executive Officer of Hultgren Farms and Chief Financial Officer
of Bird Island Bean Company. Nate is a 1999
graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a degree in Finance.
He oversees the day-to-day crop operations and inputs while cultivating
Hultgren Farms' outside interests. Nate also serves on the Calvary Lutheran
Church (Willmar) council. His interests include employee betterment
programs, superfarm merging structures, fantasy football, snowmobiling,
ice fishing, and golf. He and his wife, Jaime, also live in the small
Hultgren Farms "town" with their five children Lily, Nora,
Elias, Ruby, and Oliver.
Noah Hultgren
returned to the farm to take an active role in the business in 2002.
After acquiring a Sales & Management degree from St. Cloud Technical
College, Noah pursued certification as a Realtor. Noah is now the Development
Manager and is leading Hultgren Farms in the establishment of a Real
Estate/Property Improvement sector. Noah actively concentrates on
crop production during the entire crop year and is a Realtor with Upper
Midwest Management in Olivia. In his spare time, he enjoys golf,
fantasy football, snowmobiling and ice fishing. Noah and his wife, Paula,
have three beautiful daughters, Ella, Samantha and Hannah, and also
live on the Hultgren Farms site.
As Hultgren Farms
focuses on machinery, human resources, acreage expansion, agronomy practices,
facilities, financials and information, the organization plans to use
these foundation blocks to further create value-added marketing of all
farm commodities, input control, support industries, custom farming,
mergers, and eventually retail products and services. Hultgren Farms
is indeed "Farming > Moving > Forward."
